Conditions of Carriage
These Conditions of Carriage form the contract between Atlanza Airways ("the Carrier") and the Passenger. By accepting a ticket for travel on our Airbus A330-300 fleet, you agree to the following terms.
1. Definitions and Applicability
- Carrier: Atlanza Airways.
- Passenger: Any person, except members of the crew, carried or to be carried in an aircraft pursuant to a ticket.
- Scope: These conditions apply to all carriage by air of passengers and baggage performed by Atlanza Airways between New York (JFK) and Conakry (CKY), including transit stops in Bamako (BKO) and Dakar (DSS).
2. Tickets and Fares
- Ticket Validity: A ticket is valid only for the passenger named on it and for the specific flight dates and times indicated. Tickets are non-transferable.
- Fare Sequence: Atlanza Airways will honor tickets only if all coupons are used in the sequence provided (e.g., a passenger must board in New York to utilize the remaining segments to West Africa).
- Taxes and Fees: Any taxes or government-imposed fees are in addition to the airfare. Payment gateway fees are processed by third-party providers and are non-refundable.
3. Check-In and Boarding
- Arrival: Passengers must arrive at the airport at least three (3) hours before the scheduled departure of the Airbus A330-300.
- Closing Times: Check-in counters close 60 minutes prior to departure. Failure to complete check-in by this time will result in the cancellation of your reservation without a refund.
- Right to Refuse Carriage: We may refuse to carry any passenger for reasons of safety, security, or if the passenger lacks valid travel documents for Guinea, Senegal, or Mali.
4. Baggage Policy
- Prohibited Items: Passengers must not include in their baggage items that are endangered, dangerous, or prohibited by the TSA (U.S.) or the civil aviation authorities of Mali, Senegal, and Guinea.
- Right to Search: For reasons of safety and security, we may request a search or scan of your person and baggage.
- Valuables: Atlanza Airways is not liable for damage to or loss of fragile items, money, jewelry, or electronics included in checked baggage. These should be carried in the cabin.
5. Schedules, Delays, and Cancellations
- Schedules: Flight times are not guaranteed and do not form part of this contract. We may change schedules or aircraft types (e.g., substituting an Airbus A330-300) without notice for operational reasons.
- Liability for Delays: In the event of a cancellation or significant delay, our liability is limited by the Montreal Convention. We are not liable for "Force Majeure" events, including extreme weather or political instability in the transit regions.
6. Conduct Aboard Aircraft
- Authority of the Pilot: The Pilot-in-Command has full authority to ensure the safety of the flight.
- Electronic Devices: For safety reasons, the use of certain electronic devices may be prohibited or restricted during flight.
- Zero Tolerance: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for unruly behavior or any action that threatens the safety of our crew or other passengers.
7. Administrative Requirements
- Travel Documents: The passenger is solely responsible for obtaining all required travel documents and visas and for complying with all laws, regulations, and orders of the countries to be flown from, into, or through.
- Health Certificates: Proof of Yellow Fever vaccination and other health documents must be presented upon request. Atlanza Airways is not liable for costs incurred if a passenger is deported or denied entry.
8. Liability for Damage
- International Travel: Carriage hereunder is subject to the rules and limitations relating to liability established by the Montreal Convention (1999).
- Baggage Claims: In case of damage to checked baggage, the passenger must notify Atlanza Airways in writing immediately after discovery of the damage, and at the latest, within seven (7) days of receipt.
